Breguet Watches, one of the first watch companies ever founded, was established in 1775. He pioneered many watchmaking technologies, the most famous being the “tourbillon”. Breguet watches are easily recognized for their coin-edge cases and blue hands. During his life, Breguet designed timepieces for elite members of the military, financial and diplomatic classes, setting a standard which is still to this day carried on by his heirs. Breguet's ability to mix the richness of art and culture with the intricacy of mechanical precision propelled his watches to a place in history by which many others are judged and compared.
