Product FAQ

Are your products new or used? Are they pre-owned?

We only sell new and 100% authentic watches that have never been used, pre-owned or refurbished. Unless otherwise noted on the specific item page.

What proof do you have that your products are authentic?

All our watches come with the original manufacturer’s serial number, intact and unaltered. They come with the original boxes, documentation, tags and labels, thus assuring our customers that they are purchasing 100% authentic products.

Do your products come with serial numbers, boxes and documentations?

Yes, all original documents, serial numbers and boxes come with your purchases.

Do you sell product parts (i.e straps, links, screws...)?

At this time we do not sell extra parts for our watches. For extra parts, aside from the watches that are packaged with replacement parts, you must contact the manufacturer and order it directly from them.

Do you size or engrave your products?

At this time we do not offer an engraving or sizing service. Any altering of the product must be done by the customer after purchase. Please keep in mind that any alterations void the return and exchange possibilities for the product.

What is the difference between an automatic and a quartz watch?

An automatic or a self-winding watch is a mechanical watch that is wound automatically due to the constant movement and acceleration of the wearer’s arm. Automatic watches do not require a battery to function and can usually be wound manually by turning the crown. Normally, the energy reserve in a typical watch is enough to maintain them working through the night while off the wrist. The technology was invented in the 18th Century by Swiss watchmaker Abraham-Louis Perrelet. A quartz watch is one that uses an electronic oscillator regulated by a quartz crystal to maintain time. This technology creates a very precise signal, making quartz watches more accurate than mechanical watches. They, however, require a battery to function. Quartz watches can be mass produced at a more economic rate than mechanical watches because they require less craftsmanship. As such, they are a more affordable, accurate solution for those in need of one.

Can I go swimming with my watch?

Most watches sold by us have a water resistance of at least 30M or 100 ft. Generally watches that have a water resistance between 30 Meters or 100 feet can get water on them, but are not resistant to any extended period of exposure to water. We do not advise going swimming in any watch, unless the watch has been specifically designed for diving. Additionally, it is not advised to pass the water resistance limitation should your watch be water resistant. Doing such will result in considerable damage to the product and will be a costly repair that is typically not covered under warranty.

How long does the battery usually last?

Most batteries have an average life span of about two years. This range will vary depending on watch brand and movement.

Are you an authorized dealer?

We are not an authorized dealer. However, because of this status we are able to offer such great discounts on our products, since authorized dealers have to sell their products at retail price. Additionally, we only purchase our watches from confirmed authorized dealers that way we are able to guarantee all watches we sell are 100% authentic and brand new.

How are you able to sell your products at such low costs?

Since we buy so many watches, we receive substantial discounts, which we pass on to you.

Can I visit your physical store? the store in Los Angeles?

No. We are strictly an online business. There is no showroom available for our customers other than what we offer online.

What kind of security and fraud prevention do you offer?

Warranty FAQ

Do you offer any type of warranty?

Products sold by us are covered under the warranty and protection of Swiss Repair. As such, the warranty our company offers is thoroughly identical to that of the product's manufacturer, covering exactly what the manufacture would cover.

Who handles the product repairs in case it breaks?

If your product is within the warranty period, Swiss Repair will handle any repairs needed for such. However, once the warranty period terminates, Swiss Repair will no longer service the watch for free for any repairs that may have been covered. However, Swiss Repair will be happy to facilitate the repair and will provide you a repair estimate once the item has been inspected.

Payments FAQ

What kind of payments do you accept?

We accept all major credit cards. Namely, Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Discover. We also accept PayPal, Google Checkout and Amazon Checkout and direct Wire Payment. Unfortunately we do not take personal checks, money orders, or cash.

Do you accept international payments?

We do accept international credit cards. We also accept international confirmed PayPal addresses.

Do I have to pay tax?

We only charge tax for orders that are shipped within the state of Florida. If you are ordering a product to be shipped anywhere else, then no tax will be charged on your order. If the item is being shipped internationally, the purchaser assumes all responsibility for any import or duty taxes.

Do you have a verification process?

Yes, all orders that are placed with us go through a verification process. There are times, for verification, that we will need to contact you to via phone in order to verify the order with you. We suggest using Amazon, Google or Paypal checkout as these services typically have verification systems built in for us.

Shipping FAQ

How long does it take to receive a product?

The amount of time it takes for you to receive your product is influenced by your location and the shipping method you chose. The fastest shipping methods we offer are overnight, as well as second day air.

Do I have to personally sign for the package?

Yes. As part of our security system we require an adult signature when delivering the package.

Do you ship outside of the U.S?

Yes. Our shipping options do include international shipping. However, when shipping internationally, We do not offer free shipping. It is the customer’s responsibility to pay for international shipping.

Do you ship to PO Boxes, APOs or FPOs?

Yes, we ship to PO Boxes, APOs and FPOs. However, we ship via United States Postal Services (USPS) so the delivery time might be slightly longer.

Do you ship to addresses other than the credit card billing address?

Yes, we offer the option of billing to addresses other than the credit card billing address. However, the customer has to call the credit card company and add the secondary address to their credit card account before placing the order with us. By doing so, we are able to verify that the secondary addresses for the credit card matches the shipping address for the order.

If the order is international, do I have to pay customs?

Yes, it is the customer’s responsibility to pay any duties and taxes assessed by the customs department.

We do not assess nor are we responsible for taxes/duties imposed by other countries. International orders are subject to applicable goverment import fees, duties and taxes. Which are the sole responsibility of the customer. The final charge from WatchesOnNet includes ONLY the price of the watch(es) and shipping fees. In order to determine whether your order may require additional tax and/or duty charges for importation please contact your local customs office for details.

Should the customer refuse to pay their goverments import fees, duties and taxes, or rejects the package for any reason, the product is still considered to have been delivered by WatchesOnNet.com and the transaction is considered complete.

Should the customer decide not to pay the duties and refuse the package for any reason, we will pay the duties to your goverment on your behalf and the item will be returned to us. All countries require us (the shipper) to pay the duties, taxes and any other aplicable fees before they will allow the item to be returned to us. We will then deduct those duties, taxes and any additional fees related to the shipment from your refund amount.

Who would be collecting the tax or duties for my country?

It is normally the carrier’s responsibility. The carrier shipping the item will be the entity to collect any applicable importation charges on behalf of your goverment. They will require payment for the importation fees before the item will be released to the customer.

Returns & Exchanges FAQ

What is your return policy?

We have a 30-day return policy from the day of delivery on watches that are not worn, used, or altered in any way (i.e. engraving, customizations, adding/removing links, etc.) Also, there is a 10% restocking fee for all returned products.

What is your holiday return policy?

During the holiday season, we offer a 30-day return policy. This is however still dependent upon the condition of the watch when returned. It must not be used, worn or altered at all. The 10% restocking fee still applies during this season. There are times when we extend the policy, please check the main page of the site for any update to the return policy.

What is your exchange policy?

We have a 30-day exchange policy from the day of delivery on watches that are not worn, use, or altered (i.e. engraving, customizations, adding/removing links, etc.). Once the exchange is processed, there is a 10% restocking fee only on the remaining balance, if any, after the exchange.
