Last year BCRF experienced the loss of its Founder Evelyn H. Lauder due to complication of non-genetic ovarian cancer on November 2011.

According to Breast Cancer dot org: “About 1 in 8 U.S. Women (just under 12%) will develop invasive breast cancer over the course of her lifetime.” About 1 in 10 men are subject to become victims of breast cancer due to mutations of the BRCA1 (BReast CAncer gene one) and BRCA2 (BReast CAncer gene two) genes.

In light of such alarming breast cancer numbers impacting so many lives it is understandable to see why Movado has partnered with the Breast Cancer Research Foundation to contribute $50 donations from the sales of its Special Edition BOLD watch to help support and combat such an insidious disease. You too can support this fight by purchasing a Special Edition Movado BOLD watch and by wearing your symbolic Breast Cancer ribbon timepiece. Celeb Obsessions with Rolex Watches

Celebrities may go in and out style, but one star has been a favorite for years: Rolex. From the retro to modern day, celebs go gaga over their Rolexes. Let’s take a look at big names through the years who thought that Rolexes packed as much star quality as they do.
The hardest part? Deciding whether Rolexes are the coolest thing around, or the hottest items to wear.

Paul Newman, star of Cool Hand Luke wore his Daytona until the day he died, but he was lucky enough to get a Daytona Rolex set of watches named after him. Paul Newman Rolexes are exceedingly rare as they have been out of production since the early 70s, but

Steve McQueen aka the “King of Cool,” wore his Rolex Submariner for almost 22 years straight. After supposedly gaining the Rolex during a motorcycle transaction, he and best bud (Bud Etkins, in fact) were as inseparable from their watches as they were from each other.

Arnold Schwarzenegger who made first won Mr. Universe, and then went on to conquer the movieverse is no stranger to Rolexes and be seen sporting a Rolex Mocha GMT from time to time.

Brad Pitt has been seen wearing—and rocking—many Rolex watches, from the Daytona to the Submariner, to the GMT Master II, both on and off screen. His old flame Jennifer Aniston can also be seen sporting a Rolex Day-Date. It just goes to show that true love never dies—for Rolexes, that is.
Lately, it’s become a trend for women to wear men’s watches, and some lady celebs have taken to the trend with delight!

Kim Kardashian is such a sensation that it’s hard to tell truth from tabloid, but the images of her with her Rolex are undeniable. Rumor has it that she traded in her wedding gifts for Rolex watches. Who knows? The timepieces can be pretty irresistible.

Ellen Degeneres is the Queen of Talk Shows, so it’s no accident that she flaunts a white gold Rolex President that glitters as much as her bright smile. Something of a Rolex fanatic, Degeneres can be seen wearing numerous Rolex models, from the Daytona to the Datejust to the Portia de Rossi.

Lindsay Vonn knows a thing or two about keeping it cool afterscoring a gold medal in Olympic Skiing. Her Rolex Datejust is the perfect fit for the skier, who reportedly gained her Rolex obsession from her role model: skier Picabo Street.

Raymond Weil Lady Maestro Watches Hit a High Note

If you want a watch as beautifully orchestrated as the Seattle Rock Orchestra, a sense of drama as big as a Puccini Opera, and all the bling a diva could want, then look no farther than the Raymond Weil Lady Maestro watch.
With a fun design that still keeps itself sophisticated, the Maestro hits a high note. Delicately feminine in design, the mechanics pack a powerful punch with classic Raymond Weil know-how in a hand-wound mechanic movement.

Raymond Weil does a great job of allowing room for ladies to accessorize their watches as they please. Love bold splashes of color? Opt for the hot pink, lime green, or cherry red leather strap. Want a more sophisticated look? Try the midnight blue, black, or soft caramel colors—or you can go all out and nab the stainless steel bracelet instead.
The possibilities don’t end there. Take your pick of a full dial or get a glimpse inside the watch with the openwork dial. Feel free to add in the diamond accents or let your own shine speak for itself.
No matter what version suits your fancy, all of the Maestro watches feature mother of pearl dials with clearly marked indices and roman numerals. The large 39 mm case makes it easy to read and won’t cramp your style.

But don’t let this watch’s good looks fool you: with a stainless steel case and anti-glare treated sapphire crystal dial windows, this watch is as durable as it is chic. With a 38 hour power reserve and a water resistance of up to 50 meters, this watch is made to last.
The watch does a fantastic job of bridging tradition and the beauty of classic watch making with a bold modern look. Because it combines both elements, the Maestro is extremely versatile. The fun colors make it a great daytime watch, but the 72 diamonds set into the dial and bezel make this watch shine at nighttime functions as well.
Raymond Weil has crafted a watch sensible enough to work with, but dazzling enough to play in. It’s a difficult balance to achieve, but the mix of color and precious materials reveal the many possibilities of the watch.
Bold, brilliant, and enduring, the Raymond Weil Lady Maestro timepiece has certainly “mastered” its corner of the market. Raymond Weil seems to be right on pitch with their sensible, yet masterful women’s watches.
