Baselworld 2014 promises to present an incredible array of reinspired and tributary designed watches ever produced by top luxury watchmakers. Watch manufactures Glashütte Original, Roger Dubuis and HYT have returned to their proverbial watch design drawing boards and have created new innovative design spins on some of their most popular timepieces just in time for debut at Baselworld 2014.
PanoMaticInverse is Glashütte Original’s revisited rendition of its PanoInverse XL (manually wound watch) which originally made its debut at Baselworld 2008.
PanoMaticInverse will make its debut at Baselworld 2014 with a dial finished in a rhodium plated three-quarter plate and Glashütte signature ribbing. PanoMaticInverse dial presents asymmetrical positioned hours dial and seconds sub-dial accented with blued hour, minute and second hands, along with Glashütte signature Panorama date aperture positioned at 2 o’clock. Aesthetic accents on the dial include blued screws and rubies, two-tone engravings on the wheel bridge, an openwork oscillating weight crafted in 21K gold all of which is sustained in a 42mm satin brushed and polished red gold or stainless steel case option. PanoMaticInverse features a new caliber 91-02 (automatic caliber) and has a power reserve of 42 hours. The red gold case option is adorned with a brown alligator strap, with the stainless steel case option having a blue alligator strap.
HYT H2 Titanium & White Gold Blue offers admirers of the 2013 H2 an opaque blue fluid-filled tube version with a a presentation in titanium and white gold case. H2 Titanium & White Gold Blue hi-tech mechanical openworks dial features of gears, levers, bridges and elaborate balance wheel remains intact, however, it does feature three new indicators: temperature indicator (between 9 and 10 o’clock) which has only two stages versus three, a power reserve indicator and a HNR indicator. The H2 Titanium & White Gold Blue is available as a limited edition watch of only 20 pieces.
The new Roger Dubuis Hommage collection pays tribute to Roger Dubuis who introduced the collection in 1995. Roger Dubuis Hommage collection will premier four new variants of the Double Flying Tourbillon watch at Baselworld one of which aficionados can take a peek at below.
Hommage Double Flying Tourbillon makes a stunning statement with hand guilloché work (an artistry requiring years of mastery) elegantly crafted on a metallic plate. The guilloché work resembles a vibrant sunburst which is brought to life inside a beautiful 45mm pink gold case with matching Roman numerals nine through three. The lower hemisphere of the dial is engaged by dual flying tourbillons with differential, hours and minutes. As mentioned earlier there are four variants of Hommage Double Flying Tourbillon, each possessing a distinctive presence and an absolute must see at Baselworld 2014.
