For all of those individuals who enjoy seeing a single quality material used supremely well, the Michael Kors Goldtone Watches collection is a must see. There are a few tones of gold that are used in these timepieces, but all of the casings and bands will be done in gold. By restraining this entire collection to gold, the designer is able to concentrate on making all of the features of the watch emphasize the beauty of that gold.

In one model, yellow gold is used throughout the watch. The band, casing, and face are all made of the same yellow gold. What is truly amazing on this model is that it looks like two kinds of gold have been used. To create this effect, the yellow gold has been treated two ways. The outside of the casing, the outside of the band, and the watch face are all brushed gold. Brushed gold looks much softer and doesn’t catch the light quite as well as polished gold does.

A solid ring around the casing and a stripe down the center of the watch band are made of polished gold. The effect is a look of two kinds of gold where only one has been used.
