The SpidoSpeed Gold has a complex, fully skeletonized 32 piece case that is made of 18k gold. This beautiful case is finished by hand with satin and microbillé treatment. It measures 44 millimeters in diameter and 15 millimeters tall, and it weighs 126 grams. As is customary with SpidoSpeed watches, the case is light and has an innovative and cool look. The design of the watch is quite beautiful and bold. The muted gold color of the watch, which is achieved by the satin finish, is perfect for people who do not like too much shine or flashiness on their watch. However, the watch is still able to maintain a luxurious feel.

Powering this watch is an LW03 Concepto automatic chronograph movement. The movement has a power reserve of 48 hours. This custom-made integrated Swiss movement uses ceramic bearing for the oscillating weight. The caliber LW03 Concepto can be partially seen in the sapphire display case back.

The beautiful dial is made in to two parts and has been constructed of 10 layers to create the three dimensional and deep effects. The black dial nicely compliments the muted gold of the case. The watch has three sub-dials displaying at the 3 o’clock, 6 o’clock, and 9 o’clock positions. The “R” on the middle sub-dial refers to “The Rock” or “The Reef” and shows how long it will take to fully charge the watch. The hour markers are white and easily visible against the dark dial. The hour, minute, and second hands are all muted gold and match the case and center of the sub-dials. Linde Werdelin and the logo are scribbled under the 12 o’clock position.

Coming off the case is a black alligator strap that compliments the rugged look of the Linde Werdelin SpidoSpeed Gold Watch. This fascinating watch is masculine, stylish, and quite trendy. This watch is unique from the other Richard Mille because it employs an extra flat, ultra- rectangular case. The black case is quite large in size and measures 49.80 mm x 38.00 mm x 8.25 mm. The case’s three sections are produced with the same precision and attention as previous models, with 202 separate operations used for manufacturing and assembling the case. The case is made of titanium that is DLC treated which contrasts beautifully and frames the red flange. Attached to the case is a strap that follows through with the black and red theme. The lovely strap is red rubber with a black DLC treated buckle. Scratch resistant sapphire glass can be seen covering the dial and the lateral panels. Sapphire glass also covers the display case back and the black DLC treated bezel side. The case is water resistant to 30 meters.

Inside the case is skeletonized RMAS7 automatic winding movement. This movement has a rotor with variable geometry. This feature is unique to Richard Mille and beneficial in allowing the system to customize the winding to the owner’s hand activity. The caliber has power reserve of 55 hours and allows for the necessary features of the watch, including hours, minutes, seconds, and date displays. The date window is uniquely displayed on the 7 o’clock position.

Audemars Piguet has been both an official sponsor and “official timekeeper” of the annual French Tour Auto Optic 2000 car race for the past six years. To commemorate this auspicious car race this year Audemars Piguet has designed a sporty Chronographe Royal Oak Tour Auto 2012 limited edition watch which has captured the spirit of the century old Tour de France sports car race sporting the French national colors of blue, white and red.

Audemars Piguet’s first special edition of the Chronograph Royal Oak Tour Auto 2009 limited model had a titanium bezel. This year’s model features an impressive stainless steel body with Audemars Piguets’ signature octagonal bezel and blue crocodile leather hand-sewn strap with high-contrast red stitching which complements the colors of the watch’s dial.

Audemars Piguet Chronographe Royal Oak Tour Auto 2012 features a bold stainless steel case with a scratch resistant black ceramic bezel. It sports a signature “Méga Tapisserie” motif dial, with two blue sub-dials: 30 minutes counter located at 9 o’clock and 12 hours counter located at 6 o’clock. The seconds sub-dial at 12 o’clock is white. The dial design displays blue Arabic numerals with luminescent coating and white gold Royal Oak hands filled with red luminescent coating. It also features the same rubber-clad chronograph push-pieces and setting crown. The inside white bezel ring displays an inscribed tachymeter scale. Located at 3 o’clock is a round date aperture.

Chronographe Royal Oak Tour Auto 2012 is powered by an in-house Calibre 3126/3840 self-winding movement which has an impressive power reserve of up to 60 hours, with frequency of 21,600 vibrations per hour.

The caseback bears the Tour Auto logo inscription, the Royal Oak Offshore logo and the “Edition limitée” inscription. The watch has a sapphire-crystal coating and it is water-resistant up to 100 meters (330 feet). Each Chronographe Royal Oak Offshore Tour Auto 2012 comes in a specially created presentation box and it is a limited edition of 150 pieces.

The men’s version is water resistant to 100 meters and the women’s version up to 50 meters. The structured case has sapphire crystal that is scratch resistant and glare-proof. Inside the case of the Diagono Ceramic is a beautiful dial. The hour, minute, and second hands are either silver-toned or gold-toned depending on the sub-dials. There is a small date window in between the 4 and 5 o’clock position as well. The women’s version comes in a gorgeous white mother-of-pearl dial with 8 brilliant-cut diamonds hour markers. Similar to the men’s version, there are three sub-dials for the short-time hour, minute, and second measurements and date window at the 4 and 5 o’clock position. The hour, minute, and second hands are rhodium or pink gold-plated.

The Diagono Ceramic is powered by Swis Calibre BVL 130. This self-winding mechanical movement with displays of the date and chronograph is specific for Bulgari. This 37-jewel movement has a frequency of 28,800 vibrations per hour and a power reserve of 42 hours, and it measures 28.60 millimeters in diameter and 6.10 millimeters in thickness.

The strap of the watch varies depending on the version and model. The men’s version comes in mono-block black rubber that has steel inserts or 18K pink gold inserts to match the inside of the dial. The women’s version comes in white rubber that has steel pin buckles or 18K pink gold pin buckles depending on the model.

The designers opted for marking days as the month for the indices instead of the standard hours and minutes markings, but the watch is still easy to read as it is free from an over-abundance of clutter on the dial itself.
The weekday and month appear in the top half of the watch and a simple etching of the moon and stars grace the bottom half of the watch. The design has an unconventional watch function: it serves as a moon phase indicator as well as a pleasing design.
It is the little details that really make the watch stand out. Perhaps the most enchanting element of the timepiece is the serpentine hand with a sliver of a moon fixed to its edge pointing to the corresponding day of the month. Where in some designs, the curving hand might have been hokey, the delicate work adds a quiet elegance for the piece.
