Tissot: Covering All Bases
Tissot is all over the place. From Nascar races to Bollywood, they are covering all their bases, making sure people across the globe know about their watches. Calling themselves, “innovators by tradition”, Tissot is always on point.
Chances are you’ve never heard of model turned Bollywood actress Deepika Padukone, nor do you have any idea how to pronounce her name, but once you see her, you won’t forget her. She’s gorgeous and is the first Indian to become a “Face of Tissot” and boy, what a face. As an Ambassador for Tissot Watches, Deepika recently attended the opening of a new boutique in New Delhi, helping launch the Tissot Sea-Touch Brand. Like the T-Touch collection that catapulted Tissot into fame, the Sea-Touch is a diver’s watch that features stylish looks as well as all the necessary functions 
needed for diving.
During the launch with Deepika, Ulrich Fischer, The VP of Sales at Tissot, explained that India is a hot market for Tissot watches, and that despite the current economic situation, he expects 30% – 40% growth for the company. Aside from their cool, sporty looks, another good thing about Tissot watches is that, whether you’re talking dollars or rupees, Tissot watches are very affordable, especially at these discount and special sale prices found here.
From Bollywood to Nascar
In addition to Bollywood, Tissot continues to make a name for itself in the world of Nascar. Known for their precision timekeeping, digital display, ability to display the ambient temperature and other T-Touch features, it makes sense that race car drivers prefer Tissot. Danica Patrick, the first woman to win an Indy car race, is also a Tissot Ambassador. Like Deepika, Danica sure is easy to look at … and looks just as good posing on the hood of a car (did you catch her SI Swimsuit shoot) as she does behind the wheel. In honor of her accomplishments, Tissot created the Danica Patrick T-Touch.
Leading the men, Tony Stewart’s Nascar race team celebrated the 4th of July with a big bang, when they picked up Tissot watches as part of their Tissot Pit Road Precision Award. There is even a watch called the T-Touch Nascar!
