The year was 1984. Michael Jackson’s Thriller was at the top of the charts and the cheesy glitz and glam of the eighties was in full swing. It was also the age of the digital watch. Everyone had one and while perhaps they lacked a certain soul, they sure kept good time. And unlike some of the more ornate of today’s analogue timepieces, one could actually read the time on them easily.
Well, Tag Heuer has revisited that era with its “Tag Heuer Diamonds Fiction” ladies watch, but can I tell you something: it’s not nearly as lame as the eighties. In fact, it’s a pretty beautiful, even stunning timepiece.
Sure, not just any woman can get away with wearing it. You’ll need a certain sense of fun, not to mention a good measure of fashion forward-ness, but if you have that… you will really adore this watch.
One thing this watch brings to the table is the sparkle factor. It is chock full of diamonds. 879 Top Wesselton full-cut diamonds to be precise, through which you can see the high def, red digital display. This red color perfectly matches the satin strap, thus giving a warm appearance which contrasts perfectly with the brilliant diamonds. This Tag is actually much more of a fine – and I mean FINE piece of jewelry than it is a conventional timepiece, but if you have the means and the longing for an era that doesn’t necessarily have to be “gone by” this could be an extraordinary, yep, digital watch for your collection.
