Always at the pinnacle of minimalism and futuristic design, Movado has done it again with the all new Sapphire collection, particularly the sensational new Sapphire Synergy collection. It’s not that I didn’t already
love Movado watches, but there is something about this collection that is so “21st century”. Perhaps it is the way the flat sapphire crystal effortlessly flows right up to the case’s edge. It is so fluid and sleek looking, that it would fit right in on Star Trek. Because there is no bezel on this watch, it has a bolder and more streamlined look; both simplistic and modern in its appeal.
All of the watches in the Sapphire collection are appealing to the modern aesthetic, but the most futuristic version of this timepiece is the one with the stainless steel bracelet and round, mirrored case. This watch really stands out on a man’s wrist, as the case’s mirror reflects light and accentuates the sleek curves of its seamless case. This is dramatic minimalism pushed to the limit – so fluid it appears as if it was “poured onto the wrist”.
Not only is the Sapphire Synergy a symbol of Movado’s design sophistication, it is also crafted of solid stainless steel with extended lugs cut at a perfect angle, made with the finest Swiss quartz movement, and water resistant up to 30 meters. The “Museum” dial is enhanced by the signature Movado concave dot at twelve o’clock, and graced with dauphine hands.
