Movado Watches — 27 October 2009

Launched by a young, 19 year-old watchmaker named Achille Ditesheim, Movado, whose name means “always in motion”, was founded in 1881. Movado quickly became one of the most notable Swiss-based watch companies, earning hundreds of patents and awards for excellence in artistry and time-keeping technology. movado watches

Movado is probably best known for its Museum Watches, a collection that debuted in 1947, which feature black faces and a single gold dot at the 12 o’clock position, representing the sun at high noon.  In addition to this signature look, Movado watches are known for being very light-weight.

There are very few luxury watch companies that stick with a signature look throughout their entire existence, but that is exactly what Movado has done. Presenting elegant styles for men’s watches and women’s watches, Movado has literally hundreds of watches to select from.

In Stock & On Sale!!

The Movado Classic Museum Men’s Watch is currently stock and on sale! No one can go wrong with this classic black and gold luxury timepiece.

Movado never tries to impress with ridiculous complications. Elegance, simplicity and quality; these are the markings of their watches.  The Fiero series for both men and women is one of the most popular. The first thing you will notice that is the same among all four styles is the dial. Staying with their signature dial, Movado has uniquely crafted the all black dial with no numbers or dashes whatsoever. The women’s collection features cases encrusted with diamonds. To add to this already stylish appearance, each watch within the Movado Fiero series is silver with silver hands.

With famous faces like Tom Brady and Derek Jeter representing Movado watches, it doesn’t take long to realize that Movado’s men’s watches are handsome, yet sporty. The Series 800 and ESQ collections especially play this up. Other collection names for men are: Luno, Metio, Museum, Esperanza and Faceto and Eliro.
