Omega Watches Extends Olympic Sponsorship

Last week, Omega Watches extended its partnership with the International Olympic Committee until the year 2020. Part of the deal was that Omega would invest more than $1 billion dollars into sports timekeeping over the next ten years.omega-constellation-double-eagle-chrono

However, obviously the money spent is good press for Omega and will gain them more brand awareness than dollars can buy. Omega has and will continue to be the official timekeeper of the Olympics. Omega started this relationship in 1932 when the Olympics were held in Los Angeles, CA and used chronographs and stop-watches. Over 29 Olympic Games, Omega has pioneered amazing developments in the field of sports timekeeping, where fractions of a second make the difference between gold and silver.

Omega’s investment in the Olympics will go towards continuing to improve the precision timekeeping instruments needed for all sports, whether in the pool or on the track.

No one knows yet where the 2016 games will be held, but the president of the IOC (International Olympic Committee) has already said that Omega’s partnership is “a source of enormous confidence for the IOC and the organizers of the Olympic Games.”

It’s no coincidence that many of Omega’s ambassadors are high profile athletes, like swimmer Michael Phelps, golfers Michele Wie and Sergio Garcia, and yachtsman Dean Barker among others.

Omega has a wide range of watches, including men’s watches, women’s watches and jewelry watches.

Some of the best know Omega men’s watches come from the Seamaster and Constellation Double Eagle collections. Check out the Constellation Double Eagle Chronograph (as pictured). This red gold and black rubber strap watch is solid as a rock. With a 41 mm case, this watch is capable of handling some grueling conditions all while looking good.

In addition to being a precise timekeeping instrument, the Constellation women’s watches are some of the most recognized, partly because there are so many models to choose from, all slightly different. See more for yourself.

Baume Mercier Offers Bigger and Better Riviera Sports Watch

If the summer passed by and you didn’t know that Baume Mercier released two new watches under its Riviera Magnum Sports watch collection, then you almost missed out.Riviera Sport

Two new models were added to the already infamous Riviera collection. Bigger in size and better in design, these two men’s watches do not disappoint.

The limited edition all black chronograph (as pictured) brings many new, unique qualities to the table.  With fly-back function, transparent dial and glowing Roman numerals and hands, this XXL sized watch measures 45mm in diameter (older Riviera models are still large, measuring 43mm). The other new Riviera Sports model is equal in size and features a stainless steel bezel and athletic three-pointer and date display.

Both men’s sports watches feature newly designed cases, with one side shaped like the grill from a car; hollowed hands, a larger crown and a smooth black rubber strap.

Inherent to the Riviera collection are a combined sense of high style, sophistication and sportiness, three characteristics which have become highly desired among those buying luxury watches. These new XXL models further enhance this winning combination, while maintaining the twelve-sided bezel which has characterized the Riviera line since 1973.

If you’re looking for other large and in charge men’s watches, another collection for which Baume Mercier is known and loved for, is the Hampton which also offers a Magnum line, which has super good looking, sporty and elegant watches for both men and women.

Whether it’s summer, spring, fall or winter, any of the Riviera and Hampton watches by Baume Mercier are winners.

Mens Watches Worn by President Obama

If you’re President of the United States, or part of the First Family, then everything you do, say and wear is analyzed. Luckily for Obama, his wife is an impeccable dresser and has only received praise for her sense of style, which is classic yet alluring. Mrs. Obama wears many designers but tends to stick to one watch; a watch that goes well with everything. Simply put, Michele Obama’s choice of women’s watch is the Tank Francasie, one of the many “Tank” styles made famous by Cartier watches.President Obama's watch

The President on the other hand has less wiggle room when it comes to what he wears, which is perhaps why he seems to rotate among three men’s watches, all of which he’s had for some time now. The standard “Presidential uniform” is a dark suit, white button down shirt, red or blue tie and brown or black shoes. One way for men to accessorize is to wear a watch. President Obama is known to have these men’s watches: a Rolex, a TAG Heuer and a Jorg Gray.

Last night on the “Late Show” one could see a watch peeking out from under his coat, but it was hard to get a good view. People are tweeting that it could be an Omega watch, but unless the President has recently purchased an Omega men’s watch, probability is that it was either his trusty TAG Heuer or his Jorg Gray, both of which are affordable watches that the average American could buy and wear. During times of recession, unemployment and loss of health benefits, it would seem almost “uncaring” that the President would wear a watch (such as his Rolex) on national TV that few could afford. It’s much smarter for him to wear affordable men’s watches.

President Obama is always on point. Watch President Obama and his Luxury Watches

Anna Wintour and her Jewelry Watches

Anna Wintour is the reigning queen of fashion. Born in England, she’s been the editor in chief of American Vogue magazine for over 20 years and has become the international voice of fashion, telling the world what to wear and how to dress.Anna Wintour and her Jewelry watch

With all this advice, Anna Wintour herself is constantly under the spotlight for what she’s wearing. Wanting her approval for new collections, fashion designers shower her with goodies; she can have her pick of any and all designers and fashion accessories, including luxury watches, under the sun. Ms. Wintour sparks trends as quickly as she ends them. Known to stay with classic pieces and designers (like Chanel), she is not a racy or flashy dresser, and tends to favor smaller sized women’s watches (as compared to the new trend of women wearing men’s watches) and jewelry watches.

There are many, many photographs of Anna floating around the Internet of her at fashion shows, events, parties, etc. and although her wrist / what kind of watch she’s wearing never seems to be the focus, it is possible to note that she wears different watches. All are small women’s watches and in the images I saw, at least two were all gold (perhaps Cartier watches?) and one was with a blue leather strap (perhaps an Hermes timepiece).

Take a look here; one can see here that she is wearing an all gold, small sized, vintage looking watch with thin bracelet. Being all gold classifies it as a jewelry watch.

Other attributes besides being crafted all in gold, can make a watch be considered a jewelry watch. For example, if it has diamonds or other precious stones on the face, bezel or strap, this makes it a jewelry watch.

Film producers of flicks, like The Devil Wears Prada, and the new documentary, The September Issue, have used Anna Wintour and her infamous personality as inspiration for movies. Although it’s no secret that she’s a tough nut, she does keep it real. She’s (apparently) had no plastic surgery (yes, she has wrinkles) and stays naturally thin by working at it, which you can tell because her arms have muscle tone.

And one can be sure that the two things that have always been and will always be very “Anna Wintour” is her famous bob haircut and her dark sunglasses.

Omega Watches: Good for Fall / Winter

Watches make a statement. The kind of watch you wear says a lot about you, just as the way you dress can speak volumes about your personality, likes and dislikes. So, following in fashion’s footsteps of having new looks for fall / winter, we have some suggestions for which watches will compliment looks of the upcoming season.Omega Planet Ocean

Everyone is talking and blogging about the trend that women have sparked for men’s watches. These days most women don’t want dainty, tight-fitting women’s watches, they want chunky, large-faced men’s watches. Side note (when a woman wears a man’s watch it should be worn loosely). Whether the watch comes in sleek stainless steel, glitzy gold or features a sporty black rubber band, seems to be secondary in importance to the size.

As we move into looks for fall and winter, color is important. Black is always a winner and this season, bold colors, like purple and orange are in. Here are some fabulous suggestions of Omega watches that will please both men and women watch wearers.

Omega watches have all that is being sought after now right in the watch world; they are big watches (going up to 45 mm) with great sense of style and come in many watch dial color and strap options. Take the Planet Ocean collection for example. Black dials with orange hands, orange bezel and orange or black strap make this watch a great choice for the fall / winter season.

Two that particularly stand out have the same name but different color schemes. The Omega
Planet Ocean 45mm Men’s Watch
(model number 2908.50.38) is the watch for those whose world revolves around the ocean. But this watch is not blue as you may expect, it’s a brilliant, bold orange with orange bezel and orange alligator strap. The other style that is great for fall / winter fashion has the same name (model number 2908.50.82) and is seen in the picture. It has the same orange bezel and comes with black rubber strap with orange stitching; a very cool contrast.

For those that don’t think they can pull off a stark color like orange, there is an all black version of the Planet Ocean 42 mm that would look great on anyone.

Cartier Watches and the Famous Women that Wear Them

Cartier watches have been and continue to be worn by some of the most beautiful and admired women in the world.

From all nationalities and ages, the below list of famous women choose Cartier as their preferred luxury watch. Cartier should be oh so proud!cartier-baignoire

Angelina Jolie is without a doubt one of the sexiest women ever. Now that’s she’s a mom, her sense of style has been toned down as compared to her wild days. To match her elegant, classy style she has been known to wear a Cartier Tank Louis Cartier watch.

The late Jackie Kennedy, forever a fashion icon, also chose the Cartier Tank Louis Cartier watch.

Elle Macpherson, one of the top supermodels of all time, has the stature to pull off a Rolex Daytona for daytime wear and at nighttime switches to a white gold Cartier Tank Americaine bracelet watch. The very elegant Princess Marie-Chantal of Greece is revered for her lineage and her “always perfect” look, which includes a white gold Cartier Tank Americaine.

tank americaineOn the other side of the world is another blonde beauty, Gwyneth Paltrow, who is also known for dressing elegantly, with a sense of glamour that is rarely seen within today’s young Hollywood. Gwen’s choice of Cartier watches is the same as the Greek Princess, but true to fashion trends – women preferring larger faced watches – Gwen likes the slightly larger model of the Cartier Tank Americaine.

Donatella Versace, the “Queen Bee” of fashion, can sometimes dress over the top, but her choice of a Cartier Baignoire with pave diamonds and full gold bracelet, makes a statement of refined luxury.

Geri Halliwell is best known as a “Spice Girl”, who since those days has also toned down her image by becoming a mom among other things and she reflects that by wearing one of the Cartier watches that has recently been released with a new look; the Baignoire with satin strap.

Two other princesses who have worn Cartier watches include Princess Mary of Denmark, who has been seen with a white gold Cartier Tank Americaine with diamonds, and the late Princess Diana of Wales who wore a Cartier Tank in yellow gold with a full bracelet.

Aerin Lauder, granddaughter of Estée Lauder who founded the renowned cosmetics company that bears her name, has been in the “fashion know” since she was born. Aerin wears a gold Cartier Tank Francaise with full bracelet. Another fan of the Tank Francasie, herself a fashion icon, happens to be married to the most powerful man on earth: President Obama. Michele Obama has not let becoming First Lady change her classic way of dressing, and her Cartier watch is part of that daily look.

Omega Watches Moving Into the UK Spotlight

Omega watches and James Bond have long been onscreen partners. When Pierce Bronson became the face of James Bond, the Omega Seamaster Quartz Professional became the watch he wore. In 2002, for the 40th anniversary of Bond movies, a commemorative edition of about 10,000 of these watches was produced. The blue watch dial, band, and caseback all have the 007 logo inscribed on them. Daniel Craig, the new Bond man, also wears the Seamaster.

Although Mr. Bond and his trustworthy Omega are partners in crime, this type of “product   placement” as it is known, has actually officially been banned in England for almost 50 years. Finally, this week, the government is expected to lift this ban. On Wednesday, English Culture Secretary Ben Bradshaw is expected to announce that commercial broadcasters will, for the first time in decades, be allowed to advertise products within their own programs.

Once this ban is lifted, this watch retailer will have to pay to have its luxury watches worn and visibly seen on 007’s wrist (when the movie plays in the U.K.) The English movie industry will see a new source of revenue: advertising dollars from those brands that want their products on the “big screen.

Hollywood and U.S. laws have always been a proponent of product placement, knowing that it’s an extra way for money to be made. In a country where advertisers spend millions of dollars for ads that last mere seconds (the Super Bowl), it’s not uncommon to see actors wearing certain watches (Angelina Jolie wore a Tissot T –Touch in “Mr. & Mrs. Smith), or drinking certain beverages, like soda or alcohol.

Take “American Idol”, the most watched show on American TV, as another example. When broadcast in the U.S. you can clearly see the large Coca-Cola cups sitting in front of each of the judges. In the U.K., the Coke logo is blacked out when the show is aired.

For those who live in England; stay tuned, soon you’ll see Omega watches shining brightly and proudly!

Cartier Watches: A Must Have, Right Now

If you love Cartier watches (who doesn’t?) than today is your lucky day. The Must 21 women’s watch is here, now, and a price that can’t be beat.

This all stainless steel Cartier watch expertly combines sleek sophistication and modern day style with classic Cartier features like engraved Roman numerals, blue hands and the name Cartier written in black.

The 39mm size of this Cartier women’s watch is perfect for the woman that prefers a larger sized watch, which is what most women want these days. The all brushed stainless look gives this watch a cool, elegant feel and makes it a flawless fashion accessory for any outfit and any occasion.

The first two things I happen to notice about people are their teeth and their shoes; as they both say a lot about how you take care of yourself and your more intimate sense of style. To my list, I add a watch. The watch you wear says as much about you as the car you drive, but buying a nice, luxury watch is a lot easier than buying a luxury car, plus it’s on you wherever you go (office, date, dinner, etc.)

To be able to wear a Cartier watch is no small feat and at this unbelievably low price, this gorgeous Cartier Must 21 is just waiting for you to snatch it up and strap it on.

What are you waiting for? Priced at $1,680 you won’t find the real deal for less… anywhere.

You’re a few clicks away from owning one of the most sought after luxury watches on the market: the Cartier Must 21.

Go ahead, you deserve it.

Omega Watches Releases New Planet Ocean Jewelry Collection

Omega Watches continues to impress. From trips to the moon and high-action films, to the reverie of the Olympics, Omega watches have consistently been chosen as dependable, attractive timepieces. These watches are designed to handle some of the most rugged conditions while maintaining an elegant appearance. The brand’s popularity has remained strong for more than a century. With the new collection of Planet Ocean Jewelry watches, Omega is sure to satisfy its current fans as well as gain new ones.

The new Planet Ocean Jewelry Collection consists of luxury watches that are perfect for either a man or a woman. Many luxury watch companies have stopped designing watches just for men or just for women, and rather making one that appeals to both sexes. This is smart considering that less money is spent developing separate lines and models and especially since many women actually prefer wearing a man’s watch. These new watches come in both 42mma and 45.5mm sized cases.

In fact, Nicole Kidman, who is an Omega brand Ambassador and who recently wore a new Seamaster Planet Ocean Jewelry chronograph for a photo shoot, supposedly didn’t want to take the watch off when the shoot was wrapped. I’m sure she walked out with the watch still on. Lucky her.

A main difference in this new collection from the original Planet Ocean is that the bezel is now decked out in diamonds, hence the word “jewelry” being added to the new name. The diamonds do make it jewelry watch but don’t make it a turn off for men. Men are just as apt to wear an “iced out” watch as women are, and this Omega watch retains its masculine, sporty feel.

The chronograph, as seen in the picture, is the 45.5 mm size and features 45 sizeable diamonds, which total 2.65 carats. It has a small seconds counter at 9 o’clock, a 30-minute recorder at 3 and a 12-hour recorder at 6, with a small date window at 4:30.

There is another version as well, a chronometer which also comes in 45.5 mm or 42 mm, the latter features 45 slightly smaller diamonds that make a total of 1.73 carats. Both feature brushed stainless steel cases; the dials are lacquered black with applied Arabic numerals and the strap is black alligator.

Michele Watches: Deluxe Watches for Women

The luxury watch brand Michele may be the only watch brand that makes watches exclusively for women. You might think that this would be a risky move considering the upscale watch market is mostly made up of male consumers buying men’s watches, but no. The Michele brand “gets” women. Three generations of the Barouh family have worked together to produce constantly evolving watch styles that feature rich materials and fine gemstones that will appeal to any and all women with an eye for originality and attitude.

Michele watches are known for their refined elegance and the unusual touches that reflect upscale, contemporary design. Michele watches know how to blend the feminine with the masculine to create a really hot watch at a very affordable price. Take the Tahitian Ceramic watch (as pictured here). The black band and case give it a tough look, but the diamonds soften it up. This watch could easily compete with Chanel’s J12 Intense Black which comes with an infinitely higher price tag and who needs that?

Check out our video about Michele watches. Play that funky music!

Michele has over ten collections of women’s watches and is constantly coming out with new, hip styles that very much reflect what is happening in the rapidly changing world of fashion. Right now for example, there is a throw-back to the 80’s and animal print. Big hair, bright colors, blue nail polish and animal print shoes, shirts and more are back in. You’ll see that Michele jumped on this and came out with the new Deco Safari Collection, very “Sex and the City” if you ask me, which is the ultimate is showcasing hot looks for women. This new collection of women’s watches features dials with animal prints and diamond “stripes.”

Another thing that Michele watches are uniquely known for is the ability to change watch bands; thereby creating new looks with the same watch to match different moods and occasions. One of these options is a bracelet, in stainless steel, two-tone, gold-plated, which all of a sudden turns Michele watches into jewelry watches.
